So, what exactly is a HDR - high dynamic range, image?
Well, it is a digital photo technique combining a series of photographs taken at the same time and of the same subject, usually with the camera mounted on a tripod, exposed at differing settings and then manipulated within a software package (I use Photomatix Pro) which can reveal the finer details not normally seen with your camera or your own vision.
From comments on the internet I have seen, it seems to be a technique you either love or hate!
